A 30 years Career in High Tech
Over my career, I have worked at some of the biggest tech companies in the world, including Microsoft and Intel, as well as three startups in gaming, crypto and healthcare.
When I first started my career in the tech industry, personal computers were just becoming mainstream, and the internet was still in its infancy. At Microsoft, I worked on the development of early versions of Windows and Office, which would go on to become the backbone of personal computing. In those days, the technology was primitive compared to what we have today, but the potential was clear.
As the years went by, I moved on to Intel where I worked on the development of microprocessors that would power the computers of the future. The speed and capabilities of these processors have increased exponentially over the years, making it possible for us to do things that were once unimaginable.
After my tenure at Intel, I decided to take the leap into startups, and I joined a gaming company. The gaming industry has undergone a tremendous transformation over the years, from the early days of arcade games and 8-bit consoles to the high-definition, online multiplayer experiences of today. The advancements in graphics and AI technology have made gaming more immersive and realistic than ever before.
I also had the opportunity to work on a startup in the crypto space. The blockchain technology that underpins cryptocurrencies has the potential to revolutionize how we conduct transactions and store data, making it more secure and transparent.
Finally, I also had the opportunity to work in a healthcare startup, where I have seen firsthand the impact that technology can have on improving people’s lives. From telemedicine and remote patient monitoring to AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment, technology is playing a vital role in improving the quality of healthcare and making it more accessible to everyone.
As I look back over the past 50 years, it is clear to me that technology has come a long way. The advancements we have made in areas such as computing, gaming, crypto and healthcare have had a profound impact on the way we live and work. And I am excited to see what the future holds.
As we continue to advance technology, I also want to emphasize the importance of considering the ethical and societal implications of these advancements and making sure that we are using technology for the benefit of society.
